"My Baby" Brand Pacifiers

Full Product Description
This recall involves all colours of "My Baby" brand pacifiers. The affected products include:

  • "My Baby" brand pacifier twin pack; item #OP-003; UPC 777858800037 and
  • "My Baby" brand silicone pacifier with cap; item #OP-004; UPC 777858800044.

Hazard Identified
Testing by Health Canada of the various pacifier guard colours available has identified that the pacifiers with orange guards were found to have excessive levels of lead. As a precautionary measure, Ontai Products Company is extending the recall to include pacifiers with guards of all colours.

Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

Health Canada has not received reports of illness or injury to Canadians related to the use of these recalled pacifiers.

Corrective Action
Consumers should immediately take away these pacifiers from their children and dispose of them in their regular household garbage.

Number Sold
Approximately 10,000 of the recalled pacifiers were sold in Canada.

Time Period Sold
The recalled pacifiers were sold from April 2007 to October 2008 at Everything For A Dollar Stores nationwide.
