Full Product Description
This recall involves packages of Water Teethers by Wintech. Each package contains two water-filled teethers, one is a yellow hand and one is a purple foot. The recalled teether can be identified by item number 1305 and UPC 4891464013059.

Hazard Identified
Health Canada requires that infant teether fillings not contain any living micro-organisms. Testing by Health Canada of this teether product has revealed that the liquid filling of the teether is contaminated with the bacterium Staphylococcus warneri. This bacterium generally does not cause illness. However, it may cause infection in individuals with weakened immune systems, if the teether is punctured and the liquid from the teether is ingested.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.

Corrective Action
Consumers should immediately take the recalled teethers away from children and return the product to the place of purchase.
