The Lobster Teether body is red and is in the shape of a lobster, with liquid-filled purple claws and can be identified by style number 150-3058 and UPC 773554030587.
The Sea Pals Teethers are packaged in a box containing two teethers: the Lobster Teether (as previously described) and a fish-shaped teether with a yellow body and a liquid-filled blue tail. The Sea Pals Water Teethers can be identified by style number 153-3063 and UPC 773554030631.
Hazard Identified
Health Canada requires that infant teether fillings not contain any living micro-organisms. Testing by Health Canada of the lobster teether has revealed that the liquid filling of the teether may be contaminated with the bacteria Burkholderia tropica. These bacteria generally do not cause illness. However, the bacteria may cause infection in children with weakened immune systems, if the teether is punctured and the liquid filling from the teether is ingested.
Neither Health Canada nor Infantino have received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.
